Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale high-rise mechanical or plumbing construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, field coordination, and client relationships to ensure successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven experience managing multimillion-dollar construction projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, procurement, and contract administration.
- Coordinate with field superintendents to ensure project milestones and production goals are met.
- Lead project meetings with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and trade partners.
- Identify and resolve project risks, scope changes, and potential schedule impacts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress billing.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement and uphold standards of quality, safety, and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience managing mechanical (HVAC) or plumbing construction projects, preferably high-rise or large commercial projects.
- Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar project budgets.
- Strong knowledge of National Building Code, local codes, and construction safety standards.
- Experience in contract management, cost control, and scheduling.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
- Active Mechanical (HVAC) or Plumbing license (preferred but not required depending on role scope).
