HVAC Estimator
Looking for mid-level and senior level estimators with mechanical a construction background
Mechanical contractor focused on commercial projects, is actively seeking to add an HVAC Estimator to the existing group. Individuals will have approximately three (3) or more years of HVAC mechanical estimating experience; installation and repair focused projects i.e., (HVAC, Plumbing, sheet metal, piping takeoffs) will be considered.
Job Description
- Review bid documents and RFPs to determine the scope of work and prepare estimates
- Accurately identify labor, material, and time requirements and compute project costs
- Provide quantitative takeoffs, field labor costs, develop RFI’s, supplier, vendor, and subcontractor costs
- Negotiate and work with suppliers for material cost & availability.
- Skills required include excellent customer service & negotiation skills
- Ability to read project diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to meet deadlines for estimates/bids
Qualifications
- Commercial and/or industrial HVAC experience required (Not residential focused)
- Three (3) or more years of estimating experience in a mechanical contracting company
- Experience within HVAC, Sheet Metal, Process Piping type projects
- Able to read drawings and specifications, compile an accurate take-off
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems within a commercial and/or industrial mechanical contracting, mechanical construction
- Knowledgeable in the use of computerized estimating program as well as proficiency in Windows/PC-based software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, excellent team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Proficiency: Word, Outlook, Excel
