Mechanical Estimator – HVAC / Piping / Sheet Metal

Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to join a reputable contractor with steady projects, a strong support team, and long-term growth potential? We are seeking a skilled estimator with expertise in HVAC, piping, and sheet metal systems to support preconstruction efforts for commercial projects across Central Florida.
What You Bring:
• 4+ years of mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, piping, or sheet metal)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, chilled water, hydronics, ductwork, and equipment
• Proficiency with estimating tools (Trimble/AutoBid/Bluebeam strongly preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
What You’ll Do:
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid requirements to determine project scope
• Perform detailed takeoffs for HVAC, mechanical piping, and sheet metal systems
• Develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
• Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Prepare proposals and support the bidding process from start to finish
• Collaborate with project teams to clarify design intent and project needs
• Track market pricing and maintain organized estimating data
