Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Junior Apprentice/Helper to support our service and installation teams. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to start their career in the HVAC industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of residential heating, cooling, and water heating systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Technicians in Daily Tasks
Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC equipment
Help with loading/unloading tools, materials, and equipment
Provide hands-on assistance during diagnostics, tune-ups, and system start-ups
Run parts to/from suppliers when needed
Maintain a clean and organized job site
Technical & Training Responsibilities
Develop foundational understanding of HVAC components, tools, and safety procedures
Learn proper use of gauges, meters, recovery machines, and hand tools
Attend in-house training sessions and manufacturer courses
Follow direction from lead technicians to ensure safe and efficient operation
Customer & Team Interaction
Represent Valley Green Home Services professionally with homeowners and coworkers
Communicate clearly, politely, and respectfully on every job
Uphold company standards for workmanship, cleanliness, and service
Qualifications:Required
6 or more months of hands on experience
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and handle physical tasks
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Positive attitude, reliability, and punctuality
Interest in a long-term HVAC career
Preferred (Not Required)
Enrollment in or completion of HVAC trade school
EPA 608 Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
