Position Summary:
The Sales Director is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and developing a field-based sales organization within the home services space. This role requires a minimum of 3–5 years of sales leadership experience in home services and a strong passion for process, training, and hands-on coaching. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending significant time in the field conducting ride-alongs, coaching sales professionals, and reinforcing consistent sales behaviors.
This is not a desk-only role. Success will be driven by presence in the field, disciplined execution of sales processes, and the ability to build and scale repeatable training systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a multi-location sales team within a home-services environment.
- Spend significant time in the field conducting ride-alongs, observing sales interactions, and providing real-time coaching and feedback.
- Build, implement, and continuously improve a scalable, process-driven sales training program for new hires and existing team members.
- Establish clear sales processes, expectations, and accountability metrics across all markets.
- Coach sales leaders and representatives on consultative selling, in-home presentations, and closing techniques.
- Analyze performance data, conversion rates, and KPIs to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Partner closely with Operations and Marketing to ensure alignment between lead flow, scheduling, and customer experience.
- Lead regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Travel 50–75% to support teams across branches and markets.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales management experience in the home services industry (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, chimney, or similar).
- Proven experience managing sales teams in the field, including ride-alongs and hands-on coaching.
- Strong process orientation with the ability to build, document, and enforce consistent sales systems.
- Demonstrated success developing training programs and improving sales performance at scale.
- Comfortable holding teams accountable through data, metrics, and clear expectations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales performance dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-branch sales organizations.
- Background in change management or scaling sales teams during growth phases.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000
- Ability to double earnings through performance-based incentives.
