Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Sales Director to lead the development of new HVAC‑R business in North America. This role will be responsible for expanding the HVAC‑R customer base, focusing on EMS, ODM, and JDM business models, and establishing long-term partnerships with key OEMs and system integrators.
The ideal candidate is an aggressive hunter, well-connected in the HVAC‑R ecosystem, with a proven track record of winning new programs and closing complex manufacturing and engineering service deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new business growth strategy for HVAC‑R in North America
- Identify, target, and win new OEM customers in HVAC‑R (commercial, residential, industrial, refrigeration)
- Drive EMS / ODM / JDM opportunities, from early design engagement to mass production
- Leverage existing industry relationships with HVAC‑R OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and technology partners
- Lead end‑to‑end sales activities: prospecting, qualification, RFQ proposal, negotiation, and contract closure
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, operations, and supply chain teams to support customer requirements
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, technology trends, and customer roadmaps
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline with measurable revenue targets
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales or business development experience in HVAC‑R industry
- Strong background in EMS, ODM, and/or JDM business models
- Proven success in new business development (hunter mentality, not account maintenance)
- Deep understanding of HVAC‑R products:
- Controls, electronics, sensors, power modules
- HVAC systems, refrigeration units, smart/connected HVAC
- Established network and relationships with major HVAC‑R OEMs and key decision-makers
- Experience selling complex, long-cycle, high‑value manufacturing or engineering solutions
- Strong negotiation, communication, and executive‑level presentation skills
- Ability to travel extensively within North America and APAC region
