A growing mechanical and plumbing contractor in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead large commercial and industrial projects throughout West Texas. This confidential role offers long-term stability, a strong pipeline of work, and the opportunity to join a reputable contractor known for delivering high-quality mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager capable of overseeing multiple projects, managing client relationships, and leading teams to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of mechanical and plumbing projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Lead project teams and maintain close communication with field supervisors and foremen.
- Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and GC partners.
- Review mechanical drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Track project financials, profitability, and progress reporting.
- Support estimating and preconstruction teams when needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical project management (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
- Proven track record managing commercial or industrial projects successfully.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and cost control.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
