Job Title: HVAC Business Development Manager
Reports To: HVAC Business Manager
Location: Glen Allen, VA
Pay Range: $75,000 to $90,000
Summary
Leads and expands our HVAC product sales across our Richmond, Harrisonburg, and Waynesboro Virginia locations. Plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and promoting our GE and Fujitsu equipment lines along with ancillary HVAC products. The role combines business development with product oversight and requires a strong understanding of the HVAC industry and market dynamics in the Central Virginia region.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities across the assigned locations to drive HVAC revenue growth
- Develops and executes local market strategies to increase sales of HVAC equipment and related ancillary products
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other key partners in the HVAC channel
- Collaborates with branch teams and sales representatives to target and grow share of wallet with key accounts
- Assists in equipment dealer recruitment and development of both equipment lines with potential direct account responsibilities.
- Serves as the local product champion for GE and Fujitsu HVAC equipment lines, ensuring product knowledge and alignment across all branches
- Coordinates with manufacturers and internal leadership to manage pricing, programs, and product availability
- Supports inside and outside sales teams with product training, technical guidance, and sales tools
- Assists Branch Managers merchandising efforts across locations
- Coordinates and facilitates necessary product training both internal associates and customers
- Analyzes sales performance and market trends to adjust strategies and identify new growth opportunities
- Monitors inventory levels; works with purchasing to ensure adequate product availability
- Provides leadership in launching promotions and seasonal campaigns to support HVAC sales initiatives
- Adheres to the rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in HVAC sales, business development, or distribution
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, especially ductless and unitary systems
- Prior experience with GE and/or Fujitsu HVAC products preferred
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel regularly between existing locations and around the Central VA region
- Must be results-driven and strategically-minded
