We are looking for a Senior HVAC Engineer and Team Lead in our dynamic and growing Atlanta, GA office (Hybrid role).
Some of your responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the team and the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in mission critical and commercial sectors.
- Effectively develop and manage project designs for high performance building systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management.
- Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications and construction documents for high performance building systems.
- Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
- Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams.
- Attend field visits, develop visit reports, meet with contractors as necessary.
- Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with clients and other team members.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings. Subject Matter Expert in specialized fields highly preferred.
- Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments.
- Professional commitment to sustainability is highly preferred, LEED accreditation a bonus.
- Fluency in software for design, documentation, coordination, MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and cloud tools.
