About the RoleThe HVAC New Construction Estimator needs to be a Sales driver. is responsible for evaluating, pricing, and preparing bids for new HVAC construction projects ranging from $100,000 - $900,000. Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to produce accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability. The role requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, construction practices, and materials, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for residential HVAC systems, including new construction and large retrofit projects.
- Support the sales process by presenting estimates, discussing options, and negotiating final pricing with clients.
- Review architectural and mechanical plans to develop scope, material takeoffs, and cost analyses.
- Collaborate with general contractors, homeowners, and internal teams to clarify scope, design, and pricing details.
- Create and manage project proposals, budgets, and documentation.
- Utilize project management and estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, and PlanSwift and Microsoft Office Suite to manage bids and track progress.
- Oversee awarded projects to ensure seamless handoff to the operations team and alignment with scope and budget.
- Maintain accurate records of bid documents, revisions, and correspondence.
- Stay current on HVAC design trends, local building codes, and industry standards.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating.
- 5+ years of hands-on or supervisory experience in residential HVAC systems.
- MUST have strong understanding of HVAC design principles, load calculations, and system components.
- EPA Certification and OSHA Certification highly preferred
- Proficiency in project management and estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, and PlanSwift and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven experience working directly with general contractors and managing multiple bids simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
