About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. This hybrid role is ideal for a driven, solutions-oriented professional with 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within commercial construction environments such as K–12 schools, government buildings, healthcare facilities, and other institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee mechanical systems for commercial building projects (HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems).
- Prepare engineering calculations, construction documents, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and construction professionals.
- Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and resolve field issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and project staff.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in commercial construction.
- LEED accreditation is desirable
- Strong understanding of local and national building codes and ASHRAE standards.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering calculation tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
