Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
HVAC Estimator to join our team in Skokie, IL. This role is critical to ensuring HVAC projects' financial and operational success through accurate cost estimation and efficient project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Proposal Development
- Calculate materials, equipment, labor, and overhead costs for HVAC projects.
- Develop detailed bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and project timelines for clients.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and invoices to share with customers.
Blueprint & Specification Analysis
- Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine HVAC requirements.
- Ensure systems are designed for optimal capacity, layout, and integration.
Site Visits & Assessments
- Conduct on-site evaluations to gather measurements and assess project conditions.
- Identify challenges or constraints affecting installations and propose solutions.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Source materials and equipment from suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
- Research and select alternatives to optimize timelines and budgets.
Project Optimization
- Suggest alternative materials, designs, or processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the VP of Operations, CEO, and field technicians to ensure project success.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive starting salary: $85,000–$110,000, with opportunities for career growth.
