About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead field service operations for mission-critical and data center environments across the East Coast. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, operational leadership, and customer engagement to ensure uptime, SLA compliance, and service excellence in 24/7 facilities.

This position includes responsibility for managing field engineers/technicians, overseeing service operations, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability in critical cooling systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop HVAC Service Technicians and Field Engineers supporting 24/7 data center operations
Ensure SLA compliance, uptime commitments, and rapid response to critical events
Provide technical guidance on CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, DX systems, and BAS/BMS controls
Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Sales, and Quality teams to drive reliability and service improvements
Manage workforce scheduling, absences, timesheets, expenses, and field documentation
Oversee preventive maintenance programs, documentation, KPIs, and compliance standards
Provide warranty support in line with contractual agreements
Act as a key technical resource for internal teams and customers
Promote a safety-first culture and enforce OSHA/site-specific standards
Support onboarding and training for Technicians, Engineers, and Apprentices

Qualifications

5+ years HVAC field service experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments
2+ years supervisory or management experience leading field technicians or engineers
Strong technical expertise in mission-critical cooling systems, including CRAC/CRAH, chilled water, DX, and BAS/BMS controls
Experience supporting 24/7 uptime facilities, data centers, colocation, hyperscale, or healthcare environments
Universal EPA 608 Certification and OSHA 10 minimum
Valid driver’s license; regional travel required
Highly organized with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong leadership and team development skills

Preferred:

Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers, chilled water plants, and redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business
