Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales strategy and execution across the West Region. This critical role is responsible for planning and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to meet both short and long-range company objectives, targeting existing and new markets throughout Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and surrounding territories.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry/economic trends
Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
Develop and modify 2-year strategic plans for regional growth

Sales Leadership & Management

Manage independent sales agencies and representatives in designated region to achieve prescribed goals and objectives
Coach and mentor less senior sales staff, building team capabilities
Lead people and get results through others, including individuals with less experience
Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units

Business Development & Client Relations

Maintain and grow sales with existing customers
Identify, qualify, and evaluate prospective customers toward the goal of regional growth
Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing deals
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners

Market Intelligence & Reporting

Monitor and report on competitor products, sales, and marketing activities
Monitor industry changes and trends
Keep informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers
Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Review and analyze sales performance against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness

Brand Representation

Represent company at trade shows and industry meetings to promote products
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events

Operational Management

Analyze and control expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements
Troubleshoot problems regarding products; answer questions from sales representatives and handle complaints
Participate in Sales and Marketing activities and standards
Other duties as assigned, including training others on known processes

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or similar relevant field
Five years of sales experience in manufacturing
Experience managing large territories and diverse product offerings
Coaching/mentoring experience with less senior sales staff

Location Requirement

Must live in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, or similar approved location

Technical Skills

Proficiency in reading and writing in English
Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in HVAC/R product lines

Work Arrangement & Travel

Schedule: Four-day work week (10 hours per day, 40 hours per week)

Location: This role is eligible to work remotely within an approved state as determined by management. AZ, TX, and CA

Travel: Up to 50%, with some months heavier than others, especially during trade show season
