Now we're growing faster than ever, and we're looking for an HVAC Service Manager ready to take the wheel of our commercial service department. What You'll Do
- Run daily operations of the commercial service department - preventative maintenance, repairs, emergency service, retrofits, and small projects.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of HVAC service technicians and support staff.
- Coordinate schedules and allocate resources so work gets done on time and done right.
- Own departmental performance metrics: labor utilization, response times, revenue, and profitability.
- Partner with sales, estimating, and project management to uncover upgrade and expansion opportunities with existing customers.
- Build lasting customer relationships that drive satisfaction and repeat business - and step in personally to resolve escalated issues.
- Get out in the field regularly to support your techs, evaluate workmanship, and uphold company standards.
- Review service reports, proposals, and work orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, OSHA standards, and applicable codes.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain top service talent - and lead performance evaluations, training, and career development.
What You Bring
- 5-10+ years of commercial HVAC experience, including supervisory or management responsibility.
- Deep knowledge of commercial HVAC systems - controls, boilers, chillers, rooftop units, and building automation systems.
- Proven experience managing service technicians and coordinating field operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong financial acumen - budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Proficiency with service management software, dispatch systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
