The Apprentice will work alongside licensed technicians to learn the ins and outs of working on HVAC equipment and expand the skill set.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assist licensed technicians with installing, maintaining, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems.
- Assist with service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant and wiring controls.
- Assist techs, however possible, taking the time to get familiar with equipment and proper procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment, gathering all tools and materials at the end of the day.
Required Education & Experience:
- Diploma from a technical High School.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum of an OSHA 10 certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with varied audiences, e.g., project managers.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Requires physical work, lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
- Requires the ability to stand, sit, squat, walk and climb during shift.
- Exposure to hot & cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
