Job Summary The Residential HVAC Install Assistant supports lead HVAC installers with the installation, replacement, and setup of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential homes. This role involves assisting with equipment installation, material handling, basic mechanical tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment while learning the HVAC trade. Key Responsibilities Assist lead HVAC technicians with the installation of residential heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. Carry and organize tools, materials, and equipment at job sites. Help with removal and disposal of old HVAC equipment. Support installation tasks such as: Setting condensers and air handlers Running refrigerant lines and drain lines Installing ductwork and vents Sealing ducts and insulation Maintain a clean and organized job site. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and inventory of materials. Learn basic HVAC installation skills under supervision. Provide professional and respectful interaction with homeowners. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Interest in learning the HVAC trade. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Good communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred (Not Required) Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience. Trade school or HVAC training program enrollment. EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain). Work Environment Residential homes and construction sites. Work may include attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions.
