Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a committed and experienced HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position where the successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, including chillers and boilers, and the ability to troubleshoot various issues. The role requires a deep understanding of preventive maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and air conditioning systems. Knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and equipment installation is crucial. The candidate must possess excellent diagnostic skills and a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
- Troubleshooting and resolving HVAC malfunctions in a timely and professional manner.
- Conducting regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Performing mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming.
- Keeping record of all work and reporting completed services to management.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries, explaining costs and providing advice on maintenance and repair.
- Identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems, including experience with chillers and boilers.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of air conditioning systems.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety protocols in the construction industry.
- Experience with equipment installation and a strong ability to diagnose issues with HVAC systems.
- Excellent technical understanding of HVAC systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work in a physical capacity, including lifting heavy items and working in varying temperatures.
- HVAC certification or equivalent is required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
