As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced and customer-focused HVAC Service Technicians to join our field operations team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and cooling systems. You will work directly in homeowners properties, assessing system issues, recommending solutions, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal performance and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include:
Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
Perform seasonal tune-ups and routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
Identify system issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and recommend repair or replacement options.
Ensure all work meets ComfiTrust quality standards and complies with Massachusetts codes.
Communicate findings, repair costs, and maintenance needs clearly to homeowners.
Maintain accurate service notes, repair documentation, and materials usage.
Test system performance using specialized tools and ensure safe, efficient operation.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use and equipment handling.
Maintain tools, test instruments, and company vehicle (if assigned) in good condition.
Work collaboratively with Team Leads, supervisors, dispatch, and other technicians.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new equipment and industry standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management or Team Leads.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of residential HVAC service/repair experience (required).
EPA Section 608 Certification (required).
Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License (required only if working on systems of 10 tons or more, or commercial applications).
Oil Burner Technician Certificate (asset; required if servicing oil-burner systems).
Gas Fitter License (asset; required if performing gas piping or servicing gas-fired appliances).
Sheet Metal Worker License (asset; useful when service work includes ductwork or sheet-metal repairs).
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; able to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in basements, attics, rooftops, and confined spaces.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and customer-service skills, able to explain issues clearly to homeowners.
Able to work independently and as part of a team while following safety procedures and documentation requirements.

Full-time Weekdays and Weekends as required
Participation in an on-call rotation

EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician (2+ years preferred)
LANGUAGE
Good command of written and spoken English
