HVAC General Manager - Direct-Hire
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC General Manager to lead daily operations within a growing mechanical services organization. This position oversees service, maintenance, and installation teams, ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in HVAC systems with proven management skills and a strong business mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all HVAC service, maintenance, and project operations.
- Supervise staff across service, installation, and administrative departments, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, customer retention, and profitability.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, facility operations, and energy management initiatives.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Evaluate manpower needs and allocate resources effectively.
- Cultivate client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
- Support team development through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or trade school certificate required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Management or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on facility management and operations experience in the mechanical or HVAC industry.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a maintenance administrative role, including preventive maintenance programs, plant operation procedures, energy management, manpower planning, and contract oversight.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with service management or ERP systems preferred.
