ROLES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety must be maintained at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Communicate with store personnel and maintenance management on all work being done.
- Order all necessary parts to make repairs.
- Thorough understanding of the entire heating and air-conditioning systems function in order to maintain them.
- Must be EPA certified. Willing and able to follow all EPA guidelines when working with refrigerants (during recovery and disposal).
- Must be able to use relevant tools and testing equipment to identify and make necessary repairs.
- Must be able to read wiring diagrams and schematics related to the equipment being repaired or tested.
- Must be able to read meters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and determine failed parts, status of motors, etc.
- Must be familiar with all control circuits on the system.
- Must be able to evaluate pressures, temperature charts, and/or weight of refrigerant to charge systems.
- Must be able to find and repair leaks in coils, copper lines and components.
- Must be able to replace compressors when needed.
- Must be able to use gauges to charge systems and pull vacuums. and understand the pressures and temperatures of the system.

Required Skills
- 3 years of maintenance experience within the HVAC industry or,
- 5 years of experience in working with the installation of HVAC equipment.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, the ability to read schematics, and proper use of electrical measuring devices.
- Self-Motivated to both work and self-improvement.
- Must be familiar with the use of computers and a knowledge of systems for daily use (Word, Excel, Email, etc.).
- Knowledge of Service Channel facility maintenance software (or similar companies).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate with local management and staff.
