Job Overview
Carlson Mechanical Company is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Lead Installer to join our dedicated team. In this full-time, year-round position, you'll play a key role in designing, fabricating, and installing HVAC systems that serve primarily residential clients, as well as occasional commercial, and government clients. We're looking for someone with strong leadership skills and technical knowledge, who thrives in a hands-on role and takes pride in their craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and install ductwork and fittings
- Install and start up HVAC systems and thermostats
- Replace or install kitchen and bath exhaust systems
- Complete paperwork accurately and timely
- Mentor and train Installer Helpers
- Maintain open communication with departments and suppliers
- Ensure truck cleanliness and inventory management
- Uphold company values through professional work and appearance
- Participate in training and certification opportunities
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license (required)
- CFC EPA Certification Type I & II (required)
- NATE Certification (preferred)
- Must have knowledge and experience with all types of equipment, thermostats, and installations including startups and check lists
- Working knowledge of Arizona Mechanical and Electrical Codes
- Ability to pass a federal background check
- Plumbing or electrical knowledge is a plus
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
