Title: Senior Estimator (Construction Management / General Contracting)
Pay: $110,000 to $160,000.
Bonus: performance-based bonuses tied to company and project profitability.

Who You Are

You are passionate about construction estimating and want to advance your career with a company that encourages you to rise in your capabilities and the ranks. You dive deep into the requirements researching to validate the details, you cross check, ask the extra question, and synthesize the requirements until you know it’s right. You balance timelines and estimating prowess to produce a winnable and profitable project bid. You have deep knowledge of one of the two primary construction verticals of our company. One is commercial construction with 12-month plus schedules and include complex project requirements, such as a $50M multi-family, multi-building apartments. The next vertical being high-engineered based construction - water and wastewater treatment plants/facilities, towers, tanks, pump stations, instrumentation, large HVAC, complex electrical, large equipment installation, large concrete work, etc. (or similar construction).

Responsibilities.
.
--Meets and upholds standards noted within ACC’s Mission Statement, Thematic Goals and Core Values.
--Adhere to and promote the company’s professionalism and culture standards, ensuring maintaining cooperative, positive, and loyal behavior.
--Develop accurate and competitive estimates for public and private sector construction projects, including the main divisions of commercial construction and MEP-environmental based construction (wastewater, water tanks, pump stations, etc.)
--Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
--Lead quantity take-offs and subcontractor/supplier pricing comparisons.
--Coordinate with operations and engineering teams during pre-bid planning.
--Identify risk factors, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities.
--Prepare bid packages and cost breakdowns for client submission.
--Maintain historical cost database and pricing tools.
--Be a self-starter with the traits of reliability, honesty, patience, resiliency, prioritization, grit, team player, and dynamic thinker.
--Collaborate with cross department staff to provide deliverables and own your part of company-wide processes.
--Maintain a flexible approach to adapt with company changes.
--Provides on-boarding and training for others.

Education, Training, Key Skills
.
--Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent with demonstrated proficiency in construction estimating, math requirements, software, etc.
--Must have good math skills: such as basic algebra, construction partial geometry and trigonometry, and standard practical math for fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
--Drafting familiarity.
--High proficiency with computers.
--Highly adept with learning new software.
--High proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel.
--High proficiency with typing.
--Proficient writing skills.
--Experience with estimating projects, as noted in the preferred types: commercial and environmental.
--Experience coordinating with and supporting leaders for team meetings and company reviews.
--Driver’s license is required.
--Reliable Transportation.
