We’re hiring a
Construction Estimator - Home Improvement Projects who’s comfortable on a roof, in a crawlspace, and at a homeowner’s front door. This role is ideal for someone who knows construction, experienced with providing construction estimates, and knows how to build trust with customers, especially when they have questions or doubts.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to residential sites to conduct detailed pre-installation assessments and estimates construction costs
- Use drones, mobile tools, and measuring equipment to gather roofline, HVAC, and structural data
- Serve as a customer liaison to build trust and answer homeowner questions before, during, and after installation
- Calm homeowner concerns and reassure customers who may be hesitant or considering cancellation
- Recommend and upsell additional home efficiency solutions when appropriate (e.g., insulation, upgraded windows)
- Identify issues that may impact installation and coordinate with internal teams
- Be on-site for key projects where homeowner interaction or guidance is needed
- Upload reports, photos, and findings using cloud-based systems
What We’re Looking For
- Residential construction or trades experience (HVAC, windows, roofing, etc.)
- A confident, friendly communicator with strong customer service skills
- Experience handling in-person objections, building rapport, and upselling preferred
- Physically able to work on roofs and in outdoor conditions
- Tech-savvy with smartphones, apps, and digital tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus
