Our client is a well-respected and established manufacturer’s representative firm specializing in HVAC equipment and building system solutions. They partner with leading industry manufacturers to deliver innovative, energy-efficient products to engineers, contractors, and building owners. The team is passionate about building relationships, solving technical challenges, and helping our clients achieve success.
Executive management is seeking to add an experienced HVAC Sales Manager to lead the sales team, drive business growth, and continue expanding the company presence in the marketplace.
The HVAC Sales Manager will oversee day-to-day sales operations, develop business strategies, and manage key accounts. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of HVAC systems, and a proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships within the construction and engineering community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HVAC sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for new business development and account growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, distributors, and building owners.
- Provide technical product knowledge and support to clients, including equipment selections and system applications.
- Represent the company and its manufacturers at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars.
- Collaborate with principals and product lines to align sales goals with manufacturer objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for leadership.
- Mentor, train, and support sales team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends, codes, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in HVAC sales, preferably with a manufacturer’s rep, distributor, or equipment manufacturer.
- Management experience leading a sales team/department
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment and system applications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Existing relationships with engineers, contractors, and building owners in the New Jersey/New York region preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel locally to meet clients within the sales territory.
