Comfort Temp Heating & Air is seeking a
Production Manager to oversee daily operations for our commercial and residential HVAC service technicians in the Gainesville market.
This role bridges the gap between field execution and office management by managing technician schedules, monitoring labor hours, optimizing workflow, and supporting service leadership. Working closely with the Operations Manager and company leadership, the Production Manager ensures our service department operates seamlessly, meeting performance goals and exceeding customer expectations.
Role And Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for HVAC service technicians across residential and commercial accounts in Gainesville.
- Monitor and manage technician time, labor allocation, and productivity to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Forecast technician labor needs based on seasonal demand and service trends.
- Act as the primary liaison between technicians, office staff, and leadership to ensure smooth communication and operational alignment.
- Track, analyze, and report on department KPIs, including labor utilization, job completion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee job dispatching, scheduling adjustments, and emergency service calls.
- Support management in developing and implementing service policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
- Ensure technicians are prepared for their daily jobs with necessary tools, materials, and job information.
- Collaborate with leadership to resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and developing technicians to meet performance expectations and uphold company values.
- Contribute to budget planning by monitoring labor costs and identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service operations, preferably in both residential and commercial settings.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of scheduling, dispatching, and workforce planning.
- Proficiency with HVAC service software and scheduling tools (experience with ServiceTitan or similar platforms preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong ability to work across departments and support company goals.
