Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various HVAC equipment and tools. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct field service visits to assess customer needs and provide solutions for HVAC-related issues.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform equipment repairs and appliance repairs as necessary.
Collaborate with construction teams on HVAC design for new installations or renovations.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations regarding HVAC installations and repairs.

Experience

Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in property maintenance or field service.
Strong understanding of HVAC/R principles, including air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler systems.
Familiarity with using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic instruments.
Experience in construction or mechanical work is highly desirable.
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints related to HVAC design is essential.
