POSITION SUMMARY 

The HVAC Technician plays a vital role within the EnerStar team, ensuring the optimal performance and safety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across company operations. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including electrical and refrigeration components. The HVAC Technician will deliver high-quality service, uphold safety standards, and support team members with technical expertise both on-site and remotely. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to EnerStar’s core values and operational excellence.


Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety in all tasks and comply with company and client safety protocols
  • Champion EnerStar Core Values in all professional activities
  • High level of Customer Service and results driven
  • Work with team members in Operations
  • Install new heating, cooling and ventilation systems
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness & safety
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
  • Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
  • Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues
  • Repair damaged HVAC systems
  • Respond to all service calls
  • Schedule and conduct all repairs and maintenance of all HVAC equipment on all inventory items
  • Support EnerStar team members with guidance on the phone or in person on resolution to issues they may have regarding HVAC equipment
  • local HVAC codes & regulations in a practical manner on each job
  • Layout, design and install low-voltage wiring
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle
  • Truck logs and vehicle inspection reports
  • Preventative maintenance to assigned vehicle and equipment
  • Compliance with all Company & regulatory health, safety & environmental requirements: job safety analysis, pre/post trip inspections, near miss, hazard reports
  • Maintain Freon dispensing records to meet federal requirements
  • Participate in other relevant tasks as assigned

                                        Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by EnerStar


                                        POSITION REQUIREMENTS

                                        Education:

                                        • State HVAC Technician license
                                        • HVAC Certification

                                          Experience:

                                          • Prefer 3+ years of experience in a comparable industry

                                          KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

                                          • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
                                          • Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
                                          • Ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
                                          • Proficiency in using computer software programs for inventory tracking and reporting
                                          • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance among team members
                                          • Experience in yard or logistics setting preferred
