Description

The Mechanical Apprentice will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical system.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in servicing and maintaining boilers and related equipment.
- Change and install commercial water heaters and indirect storage tanks.
- Replace corroded piping and old isolation valves to maintain system integrity.
- Safely change and install gas lines on mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and assist in resolving mechanical equipment failures.
- Follow the International Mechanical Code and company standards during all tasks.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper handling of heavy equipment.
- Move and position storage tanks safely using approved methods.
- Collaborate with the HVAC division when required for cross-functional tasks.
- Follow directions from the immediate supervisor and work effectively within a team.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various mechanical and HVAC tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle
