TITLE: Project Estimator/Manager
Summary
Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth by Bondy Insulation as well as in the current procedures manual. Responsible for overseeing any and all aspects of projects to ensure coordination and completion.
Responsibilities
Estimating
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Perform material takeoffs, cost analysis, risk assessment, and labor forecasting.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed proposals, scopes of work, and bid packages.
- Maintain and update cost databases, pricing sheets, and historical project data.
Project Management
- Lead project kickoff meetings and develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor progress, track costs, and manage changes, RFIs, and submittals.
- Provide regular project updates, reports, and communication to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and project specifications.
- Identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee project closeout, including documentation, punch-lists, and client handoff.
- Project Administration - sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors and summarizes progress
- Prepares status reports for upper management
- Customer and vendor communication as it relates to project business
- Coordination of the opportunity pipeline and scorecard metrics
- Ecommerce support & development, which includes processing all B2B orders
- Clerical Support for Sales, including HVAC (Quotes, Administrative, etc.)
- Customer/Vendor Sale Research
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2-5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, invoices, work instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidate will need strong understanding of project documentation and specifications. Ability to interpret and respond to routine correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to create and use spreadsheets, as well as have experience with word processing.
