Senior Sales Manager
Location: Spring Lake, MI or New Philadelphia, OH (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Compensation: $180,000–$185,000 base + up to 20% annual bonus + $8,100 car allowance + mileage reimbursement

Zing Recruiting is partnered with a global manufacturing leader to identify a
Senior Sales Manager for their high-growth, non-automotive division representing one of the company’s most profitable business units. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the organization’s growth trajectory and strategic direction.
Reporting to the President, the Senior Sales Manager will lead a talented sales team, manage key customer relationships, and drive both new business development and expansion within existing accounts. The division currently manages over
$50M in business and is targeting
$80M in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five (Account Managers, Account Reps, and a BDM) to achieve departmental goals and deliver profitable growth.
- Develop and execute strategic customer and product plans to expand market share across Western Michigan and Ohio.
- Drive 60% new business acquisition while managing and growing existing accounts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Cost Estimating to ensure competitive and accurate quoting.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including leading manufacturers such as Whirlpool and Pella.
- Develop commercial agreements and manage performance to customer business plans.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics to shape strategy.
- Travel up to 25% domestically to engage with customers and support sales initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive sales experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Proven success in B2B component sales—preferably selling engineered components or materials into the windows & doors, HVAC, or appliance manufacturing sectors.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate complex product solutions to engineers and executive teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, develop strategies, and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
