Service Manager – Commercial HVAC (East Phoenix, AZ)
Role Overview
The Service Manager oversees all East Valley service operations, leading a team of 12–14 technicians who support commercial clients across the East Side of Phoenix. This role blends field expertise with leadership excellence — ensuring projects and service agreements are executed safely, profitably, and with superior customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all East Valley service operations, including service agreements, T&M work, and facility service projects.
- Achieve planned gross profit and man-hour redemption goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and motivate technicians — fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous skill development.
- Manage scheduling, workforce utilization, and project timelines for efficient service delivery.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of complex HVACR systems (chillers, boilers, pumps, controls).
- Oversee installation and commissioning of commercial systems (zoning, VRF, ductless, hydronic, steam).
- Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and refrigerant handling regulations.
- Collaborate with sales and leadership to identify new opportunities and customer upgrades.
- Monitor purchasing, material control, and documentation for accuracy and efficiency.
- Respond to customer issues promptly, maintaining long-term relationships and trust.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8–15 years of progressive HVACR trade experience, including supervisory or management roles.
- Expertise in commercial mechanical systems — hydronic, steam, refrigeration, VRF, and ductless.
- Proven proficiency in DDC, pneumatic, and electrical controls.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- EPA Certification and OSHA training preferred.
- Must be available to oversee East Valley technicians and operations.

- Meets or exceeds gross profit and labor utilization goals.
- Maintains customer satisfaction and retention at industry-leading levels.
- Completes projects and service work within scope and budget.
- Demonstrates effective workforce productivity and morale.
- Contributes to CARE program outcomes and service excellence initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 (DOE)
- Quarterly Bonus
